Oh, Delphi, writer of my heart. You probably won't see this because you seem to have left fandom, but no love meme would be complete without a tribute to you. I never expected to find writers of such blazing talent in fandom, but you! Good heavens, you completely blew me away with your subtle, unsentimental, uncannily perceptive, and beautifully told stories of the outsiders, the unconventionally attractive, the overlooked and the unheroic in HP and elsewhere. Your mastery of prose has been one of the most satisfying aesthetic experiences of my life, and your portrayal of - not just Snape, but pre-eminently and always Snape - gives me goosebumps. I've often felt when reading your work that I'm present at the birth of a great writer. What you do with words is astonishing; it's a form of magic unto itself

My dear, I don't have words enough to say how much I admire you and your writing. There are a lot of really good writers in the fandom, but your work is special. You write "literature" in the best of senses. I know you seem to have left the fandom and probably won't find this meme, but if you ever do, please know how much pleasure you've given so many people. The presence of thoughtful, broad-minded people like you gives me a tiny bit of hope for this terrifying world.
