What can I say, your thinky-thoughts give me a geekgasm! You are so smart and honest and let us into your life in such a real way that is just all sorts of lovely.

And the dedication to the things that you love with podcasting, and scholarly writings are inspiring.

Keep being the incredible that is you!!

I loved your Snape book, and often when I see it on my shelf, I feel a little thrill of happiness knowing what a huge goal it was for you to write it and get it published. To see a friend realize a dream like that makes me teary-eyed with joy. You did it, and I admire that so much!

You're absolutely brilliant: sharp, incisive, thoughtful. I love your meta and your unabashed love of canon. I don't know if you would phrase it/think of it this way, but so many people in fandom seem to think that analysis and literary criticism is about tearing something apart to point out the flaws and I love that you don't buy into that.

You're also a fantastic mother. I'm constantly amazed and impressed by how engaged you are with your kids, how much you do and create with them and for them. They're obviously great girls and a total credit to both you and your husband. And you're a bit of a role model for me in that regard - I don't have kids and when I think about having them, I worry about being someone who lives in her head and likes to read and write and whether it'd be soul-scraping to give kids what they need. And you put in so much effort and manage to do it so well and you're managing to get back some mental space and time for yourself and it's great to see.

I'm excited to buy the Snape book!
