been a bit, it has!  life is what it so often can be... a dickfest (and not in the good way, grin).  this family move to oregon thing literally haunts me... it is in my dreams always.  i rage at my mom and fight with my brother and scold my sister-in-law... the only ones i can't see in the dreams are the babies.  i miss their voices.  i miss connor

This post took a little turning over and pondering. I didn't want to lave you with platitudes.

I had a dream once about my sister stealing something from me and lying to me about it. I woke up shaken, because it seemed so real, and realized that it was because as much as I love her and trust her, I was secretly afraid she'd really screw me over like that if she felt like she could get away with it. It's terrible to feel that your family, the ones who are closest to you and ought to be the most accessible, trustworthy, loving, and open, have the potential to not be those things. So the one platitude I can offer with a whole heart is this: believe in them, and don't give up on them, because as close as you may be, you're not in their shoes and can't see from their eyes what brought them to this. That's what love is, and you love them.
