Rough night of sleeping last night. This was my dream: Apparently mission street was closed down for some sort of parade (mix between mummers and day of the dead). Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer were at a house with us in San Francisco making preparations for a party/concert which I volunteered to cook for, but was shot down (no offense really).

ok, my stab at this......
you are having communication difficulties with some people/persons... you feel you are clear and in the right, but they dont seem to talk your language.

communication difficulties, and stress. often manifest as breathing problems

pain in the lower abdomen/gut is a survival protective thing... people hunch and protect their gut when they feel threatened. do you feel that you are giving and trying to help and getting "kicked in the stomach" for it?
are people not listening to you, or noticing that you are upset/hurt?

the signage also points to a subconscious need to be heard

WOW! You could not be more dead on if you were living my life! I think I understand the abdomen thing now. Makes more sense. Hopefully, soon, when I move south, things will be better.

i more or less discounted the food... (desire for home, security, stability) since you have a explanation for it...
but often dreaming about food is all about stability, nurturing, and home. the fact that they refused to have you cook.... BUT you were not upset, indicates someone else leaving the "nest" and trying to either release you from your obligations, or take on more of the job.

the people were accounted for, but of course Gaiman is a word smith, so tied in with communication.

your dreams are telling you you do not feel secure enough, likely you will have a reduction of these dreams when you
1. admit you feel threatened, kicked, neglected
2. take pro active steps to at LEAST protect yourself, and move forward

oh, and you are moving? thats another reason for the food motif. you are leaving a known home

oh, and the parade thing is usually.. *usually* a desire to be heard/noticed. combined with being "lost in the crowd" or overlooked

was it a festive happy feeling? or did you feel like you were in a sea of people, no real contact? things like that...

one friend dreams of zombies... some fast, some slow.. whatever, but zombies when she feels lie she is trapped in her job.. just "going through the motions" you know... cube ville
even if the zombies are fast... its what it means for her
