The tent is extremely dark; even with her low-light vision, all Choline can make out is a vague array of shape where Keir is. She can't even enter trance at this point because her blood is still boiling, thanks to the hormonal upheaval of a few moments ago. She worries on her lower lip in the blackness, stretched out on the floor of the tent ( Read more... )

For a moment Keir is wracked with guilt. He had no intention of captivating such interest, and now is at a loss for what to do with it. Setting the consequences aside, he brings himself back to the moment, and can't help but crack a wry smile as he admires Choline's silhouette, outlined against the faint glow from the outside world.

"What can I say? I'm a sucker for a pretty face." he says abashedly.
"I think perhaps I... over shared earlier..." he says, reflecting on the way he snapped at Jaxte earlier when she asked about his parents. "There's only so much one can say without feeling... exposed." He grins, and trails a finger over the side of Choline's body. "But how much more exposed can one get?"

Propped up on one arm, and stretched out beside Choline, he stares intently in her direction.

"I wouldn't mind discovering some of the other mysterious secrets you hide behind that veil of beguiling beauty. I'm sure there are still a thousand things I don't know about you."

"Well. That's pretty much me in a nutshell: a pretty face." Choline chuckles, turning over on her side to face Keir. She finds herself shivering from head to toe when he touches her, and she sighs contentedly, reaching over and resting a hand on his waist.

She's not even certain why she said any of that to him in the first place. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that Keir was so startlingly kind to her (to say nothing of the flattery), and had been since their abrupt meeting back in the town. Most people that she did this with simply weren't. And she found that interesting.

And nothing more.

It's a few moments before Choline is able to formulate a response, as she fights the urge to throw words out the window and initiate another round of action, so to speak. Her deep breath is audible, and then she smiles.

"First off, I dislike the colour green. Immensely."
