Come mock with me!

Readers, I need your help. As much as I love Publix, their latest ad campaign needs to be mocked. They have been gradually lowering the prices on various products that people buy frequently. Milk has gone from $4.52 a gallon to $3.79. White bread has gone from $1.49 to $0.89. Cheerios are down, as is ground beef. Now, I am not at all ( Read more... )

Hmm...I think the South Beach one is slightly better in that it's ridiculousness is somewhat concealed. If you hadn't set it up for me, I think I could have read that slogan at least twice, possibly three times, before noticing that it basically stated that meals have calories.
In contrast, the idiocy of "affording the essentials is essential" struck me (across the face) the first time I read it.

4. Prices so low, you'd think we were that Kroger's across the street.
5. Cutting the cuts you like because we want you to like your wanted cuts (PS: of meat).
