What about the Sorting Hat? The costume would be easier, and you could spend the evening telling people where to go.

Ooh, that could be fun. However, when I got in the shower after posting last night, I realized I'm probably about 19 years older than the target demographic for this contest, and I bet that even if I had the most awesome costume ever, they probably wouldn't give me the prize. It didn't specifically say that only children were eligible, but I bet that in practice they'll only pick kids to win.
