I was wondering tonight about guns. I've fired bb gun before, but never a real one. I wonder what it's like?

My ex was in the military and bought himself a shotgun and a rifle and a few of his friends would go out to an old quarry and shoot old cans and sticks and stuff. So i went one time and fired both off. The shotgun has a horrible painful kick to the shoulder. The rifle wasn't so bad but still kicked.
