Yes...actually. It was all part of a secret plot by the canadian government. They came up with a compound known secretly as "boozyrup" to brainwash americans into wearing plaid and saying "eh" all the time, eh.

Due to a freak manufacturing accident I was bonded with the boozyrup and was forever changed into the freak I am today. Sadly, it gave me no really good supepowers above mesmerizing canadian women...but if I had to choose between that and eight-inch retractable claws....I think i'd choose the canadian women. ;0)
