Bill Ayers has an op-ed in the New York Times that's worth reading.

Regardless of how you feel about Ayers himself, he makes some excellent points about why using him against Obama was ridiculous and ultimately failed:

so I already read this before you posted it, but when I reread it, I had a moment of excitement when he mentioned that they passed each other in the bookstore--OMG we could have passed Obama and or Ayers at 57th Street Books and never known it!! I'm groggy and disconnected from being sick and can't say anything of more substance than that... but must finish my essay!
