My little doggy is gone

Dec 13, 2008 18:12

My little dog Lola had a stroke yesterday.  She couldn't walk or eat.  Lola was awake all night and she was so confused.  Today, I took her to the vet.  They couldn't do anything for her and I had to put her down.  I held her until the end.  She's been my baby for 8 years.  I didn't want her to suffer and had to let her go.  Losing her is breaking ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry to hear it love. *hugs tight* I lost my dog this year too, and it's really hard. 8 years is a long time, and while it's still sad, what you did was the kindest thing for Lola, and gave her the most dignity. You also gave her a good send off, and gave her love which she could feel.

I lost my dog a little over a month ago, and it was so rough. You gave her a good life though, and did what a loving owner needed to do. Big hug to you and your mom. I hope things get easier soon, and my heart goes out to you for your loss.

Thank you so much for your kind words, and I'm sorry you lost your dog. I've never loved a pet the way I loved Lola. She was a small white chichihua and only weighed about 5 pounds. She slept with my mother every night. We spoiled her rotten and called her our baby. She was with one of us 24/7. Lola was such a blessing.

I'm beginning to calm down now and remember the good times. The last 24 hours were just so hard. I knew I couldn't let her go on like that. Thanks again for your support.

the death of a loved one is always really hard at first, and this just happened, so you have every right to feel sad and hurt now. Considering how much you were with her, it's only natural you feel this way, so go ahead and cry and feel sad if you want or need to. *hugs*

She sounds like a little doll, again I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.

*hugs tight*

*hugs* I'm so very losing. Losing a beloved pet is like losing a piece of your heart, I know. Even Rudyard Kipling knew this: The Power of a Dog.
