Comment here if you'd like to start up some sort of plot or whatever, similar to what but_splendidly and I had going on or whatever you'd like. Honestly, I'm better at playing Alfred if I have a certain war or time period to reference anyway;;
America's personality, I think, is quite distinct and based on HEROISM!!1! and all that, but if you put into mind that every four years, his government undergoes a peaceful, democratic 'revolution' of sorts (LAWL ELECTIONS), there are so many subtle characteristics to him to have in mind.
For instance, isolationist Gilded Age or Roaring 20's Alfred would be considerably different from the Alfred who fought the Philippines War or even current day!Alfred. Or uhh, Romanticist versus Industrial, Jacksonian versus Jeffersonian, if you'd want to go that far? IDK WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.
UH, and I guess I'd be cool with playing him from any time period? EVEN COLONIAL, obviously. Doesn't mean that I'll play him well, just saying that I'm comfortable (or at least ASSUME I am comfortable BRB BEING BEAT BY HISTORY MAJORS) enough with his history that I'd give it a go.
OF COURSE, I've a habit of making embarrassing mistakes and things (FAIL NERD IS FAIL), but that's what the crit post is for! C: The usual group I rp with is more or less composed of self proclaimed elitists, SO I AM USED TO BEING TORN APART. IT IS COOL.
