Montreal had a bit of snow last week, but today I woke up to a few flakes and the first day of frozen ground. It's also the first day of final exams. Thankfully I'm just invigilating them (proctoring for those not familiar with McHell Speak). So I too can enjoy a bit of festive and winter-y.
2009 was pretty hellacious for me, too. I'm taking the snow as a sign of prettier things to come. Winter got off to a pretty good start already though. I defended my dissertation proposal (at long long long last) and am now ABD. Hopefully you'll have some more lovely winter events to go along with the snow too.
So sorry it's been a rough year for you and yours. I hope your heart and soul come out of it intact, and that things improve for you quickly. You're so kind - I feel like you should be the last person who should have to suffer. But then, I guess They don't give out happiness on the merit system. Brightest blessings to you! *hugs*
