is anybody out there?

Hello, hellllloooooo ...

well I see that there will be more Potter ... something ... from JK Rowling, and that seems as good a reason as any to dust this journal off.

Besides I meant to tell you all about this amazing book project which I got to write a chapter for, Harry Potter and History. I've never had more fun doing academic work than ( Read more... )

It's a good book! I think a Mad Men and History book would be fabulous but we may not be that lucky, you're right. How about True Blood and History? The world could use that, too!

I'm on Twitter, too, though under my RL name. If you don't mind someone who's only being 1/4 fannish interacting w/you there, I'll send a follow request.

Enjoy your garden time. I was just commenting elsewhere that I don't get to have a vegetable garden here because of our Staffie. The planting beds beside the deck are where he runs through/hangs out/destroys plants. We have a small tree in one of the beds that's hanging on desperately. Ozzie "prunes" it for amusement at random times of the year and the poor thing has suffered quite a bit since we moved in.

I stick to growing flowers in the front yard. My roses and hostas are doing beautifully this year and our lilacs are coming into their full glory. There's something very soothing about weeding the beds, I agree!

Yes please do twitter-follow me! My fannish and non-fannish selves are not very well separated anyway.

And yes, there should be a True Blood and History book, absolutely. I love True Blood.

It's funny how much difference even a little bit of northern-ness makes: our lilac hit its prime two weeks ago and now is pretty much gone.

I am out here, as you know, since we talk about all these fascinating topics elsewhere. And I, too, hope that someday there will be a True Blood and History. It would be awesome!

I would even read it. :-)

Heh. Read it! she said. Read it!

Hey, do know if we're doing Dungeons chat tonight? Nobody seems to be there at the moment...

As you may have noticed, *I* am not there. I got caught up in some RL work, sadly. I hope you had a good time, though. I'm about to pass out.

Not a lot of people there, but it was good hanging with those who were.

I am mostly on Twitter these days too, retweeting away. Just sent you a follow request.

I will be your fan forever for this reason alone: you know how to form a possessive of a name that ends with "S".

(Well, of course you do! But almost nobody does anymore. Even I have had Doubts occasionally.)

The book sounds wonderful. I will order a copy, even though I'm only halfway through the second novel.

I have Doubts all the time. But I figure, nobody's grading me on the internet. So I go with what I think I know. I'm right at least 33 1/3 % of the time!

And yay! for ordering the book! Order several! Makes a great Christmas present!
