Ever since I was a little kid xmas eve has been the most exciting day of the year for me, as I am sure it was/is for a lot a little kids. I could never get to sleep, but luckily since I was a little kid the excitement would wear me out and Id be asleep by 10. As I got older I was still just as excited, but I also was capeable of staying up longer
