Current Sherlock Fanfic Prompts I'm Considering Working On...

1. Sherlock can actually read minds but he’s forced to hide his ability by making “deductions” about people. This ability, however, is too strong and Sherlock is forced into drugs to try to numb the thoughts that crowd his brain, especially when he’s in a public place (which is also why he hates being around people with their stupid thoughts, Anderson especially). Eventually, when John moves in, Sherlock realizes that John’s mind is such a military mind (simple, orderly, no excessive and unimportant thoughts, yet has heavily guarded secrets) that he really enjoys having John around because reading his mind helps Sherlock relax (basically, John replaces the drugs). However, Moriarty finds out about Sherlock’s ability and uses it against him, figuring out the “healing properties” that John has on Sherlock. And then TGG happens and angst angst angst.
2. John is an assassin who is hired to murder Sherlock Holmes. However, John had become friends with Sherlock and is reluctant to do so, until Sherlock turns around and pulls a gun on him. Now, the two are stuck in a game of cat and mouse, their friendship hanging in the balance. (Based on this post)
3. A small fluffy ficlet of Sherlock reflecting how even though becoming old means the slow deterioration of his body and his deductive senses, he still finds that growing old with John has its benefits. (Based on this post)
4. Reichenbach angst: connecting the poem “Oh Captain My Captain” with John grieving over Sherlock. (Based on this post)
5. Sherlock in an Art AU: Sherlock is an art connosieur and has a private collection. He can tell what the artist of a painting is by the brush strokes and choice of colour. He works for Lestrade to detect art fraud. And John is the struggling artist from out of town who's stuck in an art block, but Sherlock finds interest in his style and takes John to art shows and stuff. (Based on this post)
6. John keeps seeing a mysterious man in his dreams and starts to get to know him little by little until eventually, the man starts to invade reality. Now, John has to decide whether he's going mental or if there's something more to this man....(based on this gif)
7. Sherlock/Death Note crossover: not sure of specifics, but it would be fun to write...(Moriarty as Light and Seb as the Shinigami, yes?)
8. Sherlock with amnesia: simply because that seems like what everyone's writing these days.
9. Molly just wanted someone to yell at her. She'd grown fed up with Sherlock's patronizing flirtation, aggravated with the apologetic smiles that were always tossed her way afterwards by anyone who'd been around to witness it. It would really help, at this point, if Sherlock would stop pretending and speak his idiotic, brilliant mind to her. But she could see that wasn't likely to happen. So she went online, searching for something she'd never known she wanted, and stumbled across "The Woman." (from this post)
