i'm sorry but i would WANT to die..after 10 years or whatever its been since she's just been laying there...i would probably try and kill myself after the first 6 months...there really IS no point for her to live..she would be much happier in heaven, i mean c'mon, everyone knows that she won't find the cure to cancer...so what is the point
i understand what you mean...but everyone has the right to live. whenever you see clips of her, she has a smile on her face.. just because she will not get better and she wont "find the cure for cancer" or be able to make anything more with her life, she's a human being. I guess i'm very biased with this since i know and love zach who is just as impaired as her...and when i think about someone wanting to stop giving him his medicine because he wont be able to make anything of his life it makes me feel awful...so i hate to think that they could the same type of thing to her..
well, here's my thing: if i believed that terri schaivo, or someone in a similar situation, had actually left instructions that they would not want to live that way, then i am ALL FOR pulling the plug

zach is different though because he doesn't know any better than what he is and what he always will be..see..terry or whatever the hell her name is WAS a "normal" human being for most of her adult life...and just 10 years ago or w/e became "vegitated"...she knows she can't do the things she used to...she knows what life WAS like and what life IS like now..and if i become "vegitated"..PLEASE..SOMEONE PULL THE PLUG because i would really hate to live a life in a god damn hospital bed with tubes in me and people collecting my piss every 4 hours...thats gross and disgusting....
and the reason she smiles all the time is because her face is probably like glued like that..haha..sorry its not really funny its sad..but its probably true...the press probably made someone FORM her face to make her look happy and look like she doesn't want to die
yeah, i dont really know THAT much about it but my mom said that she's not really responding and smiling like itlooks like, its just reflexes and she's brain dead for the most part and not controlling what she does. but thats all i know.
i.e. she doesn't 'know' anything. she could never conceive of the difference between her old and new state. at the same time as you're saying, "she's a veggie, who'd want to live like that?" you're assuming that she has the mental/intellectual capacity to know the difference. trust me, she doesn't. all the same, many people would say that they would *not* want to live in such a state before such a thing happened to them. but after it did, they definitely wouldn't know the difference. that's where this whole problem arises... terri schaivo most definitely could NOT tell anyone what she wanted. moral of the story: write it down in a living will before you become a vegetable.
well.. its a shame that she died..but i think that she should have died naturally... i mean.. if i was brain dead..i'd want to be on those tubes for two weeks..and if nothing has changed.. you need to let go..it might be hard but why keep someone around that suffers. let them move on to a better place! Not everything in life is fine and dandy.. and everything happens for a reason. and if she was meant to die then there was a reason for that. sorry babe.. its life..you gotta take the good and the bad.
