I COULD TALK ABOUT THIS ALL DAY SRSLY, so feel free to keep replying. 8D And yeah, I studied in bilingual schools all of my life, but most of my 'real' English definitely comes from fandom and the like.

lolol, when I was little I used to say I would NEVER grow up to become a doctor or a teacher, ha ha. And honestly, even now I still don't know if I'm really a good teacher or not ("ARE MY STUDENTS REALLY LEARNING, OR ARE THEY JUST SAYING NICE THINGS ABOUT ME BECAUSE WE GET ALONG?"), but I haven't been fired yet, so! A-And don't get me started on schools/people wanting to hire NATIVE SPEAKERS ONLY because sadhjkhfjskf HELLO HUGE PET PEEVE. There's this really stupid misconception that if you know how to speak a foreign language (because you're from that country) you'd make a fantastic teacher and that is NOT TRUE. I know I wouldn't be able to teach Spanish because I forgot don't know< all the crazy grammar rules and because my Spanish blows (because it IS my native language and I never had to study it in order to speak it)-- it's the ( ... )

Oh man, lesson plans. My mother used to hate coming up with those, because she ran out of things to do after the eighth week.

Hahah yeaaah, it's kind of orz. But the good thing about these is that each course is only 30 hours and they generally swap teachers around every new course, so I can get away with lots of recycling. 8D
