I don't understand . . lolitas wear pretty clothes, why aren't they pretty on the inside too?! Why isn't a strictly fashion community about lifestyle and manners?!

We also don't work we just sit around embroidering and having tea parties with other polite lolitas or taking picnics in the country side. There is no room for bad manners in our perfect society!

elite != elitism

Elitism is presumptuous, pretentious and operates under the assumption that one is the best, and no one else is worthy of such a status. Being elite, the cream of the crop, is the positive connotation.

In any case, having standards and giggling over the misfortunes of newcomers who can't take a joke is hardly elitism.
