The community for (what is often) shit among shit had a spectacular post featuring a gorgeous woman who is fairly well known for alternative modeling. The only problem was that the community is for original,  daily worn fashions and this woman clearly staged and costumed everything specifically for her modeling career.  Despite pages and pages of

and I understand her logic...I mean lolita and VK is compleatly alright and that gets posted and it get called costumes because they're staged, despite the fact that its far more wearable and alot of people wear stuff like that on a regular basis.

This. She's not saying that lolita is costume, she's saying that it's extravagant and OTT, like costume tends to be.

Also, I don't see anything in the comm rules that says you can't post staged photos. Razorcandi does her own styling, hair, and makeup, so it's her style. It's not like she's wearing some designer's clothes to advertise them. Those are her clothes and her coordinates.

yeah I'm gonna heve to agree here, that really is her style. i've seen here in a club in Tampa a couple of times andshe really does look like that. I have little douubt that everything she's wearing is from her own closet.

As zoo_le mentioned in the comment above me, I fail to really see the drama as well. most of us by now understand that some of our outfits do look like costume and are use to it. Yes some of the things that razor_candi posted are meant for her modeling career but some of the things that she was wearing are something that people wear every day. Also she is not the first/only person who staged their photos on that comm.

well lolita IS perceived by the majority of the general global population as looking like a costume because they just don't know anything about it.
