I'm back again!

This time with a slightly longer post :)
I have been thinking hard aboout lolitamod for the past few weeks and I have a bunch of sketches. Unfortunately, most of them are unfinished, so I will just be posting one right now. (I would wait and do a sketch dump, but I feel bad that mooglefan  is making all the posts! -I need to up my participation grade XD )

I do have something else interesting under the cut as well!
Okay, this cut is being strange -have they changed the format? Anyway, if it doesn't work, sorry I'll try to fix it asap.
Have any of you read this book? My college's library has a copy, but someone has checked it out and it is not due until the end of the semestre. I don't want to make them return it if they need it for homework or something, so I can't read it myself, but I thought I'd point it out in case it interested any of you! :)

Okay, next item up for discussion!
Here is one of my sketches. It isn't as finished as the last one, because I think I might actually make this dress

Which makes me ponder lolitamod headwear. Not that I will be making this dress (or the one below) very soon considering that I am in an isolated college up on a hill and my only fabric source is the thrift store that is 3 miles away....BUT! Matching headwear ideas??? I can only think of good hats (not necessarily lolitamod, but in general) for people with long/big hair, but I have a Louise Brooks bob. In my sketches I give my croquis-ish figures space-mod influenced hair, which may or may not eliminate the need for headwear, but what about IRL?
Opinions on the dress design welcomed also. I am pretty darn sure I will be making this as some point, so if you have any ideas to make it better before I do so, well, :D

And now, I would like to present:
Lolitamod project #1:
This late-mod dress. Make it lolitamod. Please.

So I was at the thrift store yesterday. It is quite small (the town has less people than the college, which is saying something XD) and rather overpriced for a thrift store. I would know as I used to work for the biggest one around back home ^^ and I can't wait to work there again this summer! BUT. I found this dress there, for only $4! Well, who could resist actual vintage for such a cheap price? Certainly not me!
I am usually pretty lucky with such things -most of the vintage clothing I find in thrift stores happens to be just about my size. Unfortunately, yesterday was not my lucky day!
I would really like to know what type of person this dress was made for. I have a long skinny neck, but the collar is a little tight when buttoned to the top. The sleeves are a good four inches short as least. But the top is huuuge! I would need at least a c-cup to fill out the bust. Plus look at those funny points on the shoulders! I do have ridiculously narrow shoulders, but even so this is really wierd.
At the same time the dress is too small it is also too big!
Now normally I hate to drastically alter vintage, especially because this is store-bought vintage, not handmade, but this dress fits so strangely, I don't feel too bad about it here.
Here's where I would like your help though! How can I made this dress better? How can I make it lolitamod? I sketched an idea but it didn't please me at all. In fact, it looked pretty ugly. So I was thinking that maybe this dress could be a sort of community project ^.^
Ideas?

Thanks for reading!
