Cherries, Apples,
Funky Paisleys,
Damask (some of the color choices remind me of mod design),
Tuscany Flourishes (kind of austere, classic mod loli?),
Wizard of Oz (border print! Think of that on a green skirt ;D),
Birds, Flowers, Polkadots,
Basket Weave (more on root
page),
Deer, Dots, Sunbursts,
Sea-themed ("Caspian" print is def. more trippy then mod, but I'd love to hear your feedback on it),
Crest panel fabric (Bag maybe? Or some other accessory? Comes in
cream too)
I'm thinking lolitamod gives us the opportunity to make/wear something that's usually looked down upon in lolita fashion: patterned blouses. I say "looked down upon" but I don't think I've ever seen an actual patterned blouse, silk or otherwise. The reason I bring this up is two fold, 1) Do you think it can work for lolimod and 2)what if I used a fabric like below for it?:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/AtelierFille/Dsc00871lj.jpg I've had his silk for a year and a half now, and I sooooo want to make something lolimod out of it now. What do you think? My original idea was to make it a skirt, but I'm feeing adventurous.
Other design questions, being lolita mod does that mean (we can/can try)...
Pairing dark blouses with light colored frocks/skirts?
Wear somewhat non-traditional shoes? (Ones with punch-outs, boots that might have a little go-go edge to them)
Reach a little into the psychadelic aspect? (to me they, mod and psychadelia seem to go hand in hand. Can't put it into words how exactly [minus some mods played psychadelia and some psychadelics played mod sounding music, and of course listening cross over] but I'm really into the trippy part of the 60's so I'd like some thoughts please :D)
Hmm, I think that's it from me now. I definitely want to start designing something, but to be honest I sew better (read: faster) when I keep the design specs all in my head. You might just get the finished result before a sketch lol
