If "a)" applies to you, post under the NEED comment. If "b)" applies, post under OFFER. People who offer can then comment on your comment or the other way round.

(Thought it might be good to split it up? Maybe a person who offers has a limit of five people they can take on. Or people might only offer to beta read for a certain pairing/kink and there might be someone out there with a rare kink that not every beta reader would feel comfortable with. Etc)

Example: You are a level six monk with a passion for all things strawberry beta reader with a really filthy mind so porn comes natural to you. You could post under OFFER and put in your subject line "porn". Then elaborate a bit in your comment ( ... )

I need a beta reader for a political short story which is for an online blog rather than the meme. It involves original characters but is basically a conversation discussing various current, Coalition-related issues in a light-hearted way.

As it's a bit of a departure from the fanfiction I normally write, I need an objective eye to work out whether it is rubbish and should be ditched in favour of something else, or whether it's worth pursuing. :)

Okay, I'm in the middle of mapping out the plot for an Agatha Christie pastiche AU (involving Mandelborne and a couple of secondary backbencher pairings, with a slight New Labour focus overall). This is quite different to the character study fics I usually end up writing, so I would really like a beta who can help me with keeping the plot(s)/ensemble cast manageable. It's also set mid-1920s, so any betas with an eye for historical accurateness would also be loved. :)

Fic is:

A fill for a prompt on the meme. It is 2500 words.
A David C./Samantha story with heavy David C./Nick undertones.

Beta must:
Be comfortable with angst, slash, wives in fics & het sex betwen rl couple.
Check fic for srs bsness accuracy.
Check fic for Brit-speak.
Check fic for "flow" issues. Anon sometimes has problems with transitions.

Brit almost first-time ficcer, very inexperienced, has own long-ish gen fic with very mild clameron undertones. WLTM sexy beta to plot-pick and teach me how to use dialogue marks properly!

Hello! I'm happy to beta read pretty much anything, I have no squicks (as far as I'm aware).

Also I'm happy to read over fic by non-British writers and/or help out with British slang/customs, etc. if anyone needs it :)

Because while smutfic is love, I find beta-ing explicit sex seriously awkward- feel free to imply it though. If you need help with Britishisms/Londonisms/British stuff in general, I'd be happy to help. :)

Yep, I'll offer.

Happy to britpick, moderately knowledgeable about the Lib Dems, a little less so about the other two parties but always willing to do research.

Will beta all kinks except watersports and scat, not a fan of Cam, Osborne or the NuLab 4, but will beta at a pinch.
