"Today is born the seventh one
Born of woman the seventh son
And he in turn of a seventh son
He has the power to heal
He has the gift of the second sight
He is the chosen one
So it shall be written
So it shall be done"

You might've guessed it: We are on the 7th prompt post. Hurray!
And although seven is "the most magical number there is", the rules for ( Read more... )

Political drama wins netizens over 1/2 (secondary fill) anonymous October 15 2010, 17:04:28 UTC
I began this before the first fill went up so I amended my own fic to fit some of the details of it BECAUSE I LOVED IT SO MUCH OMFG. Hopefully the anon who wrote that won't mind me posting this, the whole idea is so cracky and I can't resist metafic. The House of Commons, Britain's most long-running television series, is fast becoming the nation's favourite on-line activity as well. Last month it was announced that "Prime Minister's Questions" (a debate often partially seen on the series where the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition go head-to-head) would be shown in full on-line on Wednesdays, in addition to a couple of "debates" being aired on-line during the week. Fans may welcome the news, but does the increased workload intimidate the legendary series' cast and crew? I visited the set one morning as one such "debate" was being filmed to find out ( ... )

Even the cast enjoys its content, such as the recent article about atheist deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg's children going to a Catholic school, or the constant labeling of Labour leader Ed Miliband as Red Ed. "The series has always had a sense of humour about itself," says Sandra Edwards, who plays the Liberal Democrat Education Minister Sarah Teather, "but the extra content can be more ridiculous and silly, and I think that's liberating for both us and the audience. 'Liberal Democrats and out-of-wedlock children main causes of cancer', things like that, I mean, how can you not enjoy it ( ... )

I DO KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. I thought about including the fans more but then I realised it'd basically just be like us with all the squeeing and the shipping and the madness. If politics was on TV, it'd be a staggeringly well-written series, considering how many twists and turns would catch people off-guard (that's something I loved about your fill :DDD). And of course, I'd feel a lot less strange about shipping television characters so fervently.

I almost wanted to write a bloody third fill detailing the off-screen chemistry of the actors with the most strange "rl" pairings.

ANYWAY GLAD YOU DIDN'T THINK I WAS GOING OVER YOUR TURF by writing this. & Thanks to everybody else for the comments. Much, much love. <3

The long-running in-joke of the series, the newspaper The Daily Mail with its violently offensive articles and ludicrous headlines, was launched as an online paper in early 2010.

This was especially brilliant :D

We need more of these fics... something about fan speculation that the actors playing Nick and DCam have something going on in real life?

Oh, and something about the actor playing DLaws talking about how he's really straight, and how he was glad his character was closeted and he didn't have to do any gay kissing scenes (because straight actors always say things like that *rolls eyes*)

Maybe a gay actor talking about how hard it is having to play Norman Tebbit? :D

The long-running in-joke of the series, the newspaper The Daily Mail with its violently offensive articles and ludicrous headlines, was launched as an online paper in early 2010. Currently over 70% of its content is written by devoted fans of the series, attempting to best each other in coming up with the most outrageous causes for ire.
