"Today is born the seventh one
Born of woman the seventh son
And he in turn of a seventh son
He has the power to heal
He has the gift of the second sight
He is the chosen one
So it shall be written
So it shall be done"

You might've guessed it: We are on the 7th prompt post. Hurray!
And although seven is "the most magical number there is", the rules for ( Read more... )

THoC AU: Best villains? anonymous October 18 2010, 16:04:19 UTC
Inspired by the Nick Griffin fill above: The Beeb runs a "THoC: Best villains" series, with episodes devoted to the main candidates. Usual suspects: Maggie, Griffin, trickier cases that have since developed a fluffier image: Michael Howard, Ann Widdecombe, Portillo, Mandy and Bad Al. The case for Tony. Minor villain characters: Charlie Whelan, Damian McBride.

Basically, any format - interviews with actors, producers, writers, commentary by oddly assorted "experts". Bonus if Nick's actor is actually an anthropologist who got into drama by accident, and offers anthropological perspectives from a Continental point of view. Comparisons between characters and characters that are RL in this AU (Francis Urquhart, Alan B'Stard?)

Discussion of new characters that may take a turn for the villainous.

Captcha: "conscience dogring". No, I don't know, either.

So sorry this isn't a proper fill, but I couldn't resist chipping in. This prompt deserves more attention!

Our bravest reporter plucks up the courage to meet to he men behind two of the most memorable characters - some would say villains - of the BBC's hit drama "The House Of Commons."

ES: How does it feel now that your characters now longer have regular parts in the show?

HM: I wouldn't say that. Peter's not fully retired just yet, remember? Matthew [Garret, head writer] and his team were good enough to invite me back, after I took that rather extended break to work on my book, among other things. They've been kind enough to drop in a few moments this series, with the Third Man storyline ( ... )

CH: Indulged your ego enough yet?

ES: Well, maybe you should both contribute some answers.

CH: All right, you want to know the truth? I liked playing Alastair at first. It was so liberating to get to be the one doing the bullying for once. I didn't get a lot of screen-time, of course, but the scenes we did film were so intense that, after a while, it got a bit much. I just couldn't sustain the persona any more ( ... )

I loved that fill, your HM is so Peterish.
( That AU is awesomeness wrapped in even more awesomeness, seriously, I can't get over how great all the fills are so far. )

Wait, these two are a couple, right? And CH doesn't mind HM tarting around the Mediterranean with a cute Scottish Osborne-actor? This needs sequels. And elaborations. And, and just keeping going. Pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaase?
