So, this has vaguely gone in a different direction than the original prompt, sorry about that. But it grew...David walked out of Westminster just slightly ahead of Nick, leading him to their car for the short ride back to Number Ten. Normally they walked side by side when they left the Houses of Parliament, and subconsciously, David slowed down so that Nick could catch up. Nick, now along side him, turned to him and asked him a question about one of the education policies Gove had proposed earlier. David thought about his response for a second before launching himself into an earnest dissertation on the merits of Gove's ideas and where he thought they could use a bit of work. Nick was so wrapped up in comparing ideas with David that he didn't notice the man dressed completely in black approach them from the front. Their attention didn't waver from each other, still making their way to the car that was waiting for them. David was in the middle of explaining something when he found himself covered in some sort of purple dust, coughing ( ... )

He rolled his eyes and sent out a few text messages quickly from his phone. He sent one to Clegg's security team, ordering them to alert Clegg's wife and get her to Number Eleven as soon a possible; he wasn't going to have Cameron fucking Clegg on his watch, creating a possible scandal under his watchful eye! He sent another, similar, text to Samantha Cameron, warning her of the state her husband was in and that she might be needed. He also sent a text to Cameron's head of PR, warning her of what was coming her way so that she could arrange the best way to get him inside without being noticed and set a team on damage-control. Next, he texted the head of staff at Number Ten, warning her of what was coming and to make sure no one was in the halls on the way to Cameron's flat. He also sent a message to a friend of his who specialised in identifying foreign substances, he worked for the government as well, to get him to investigate whatever it was that was thrown on Cameron and Clegg. When he finally was able to set his mobile down, he ( ... )

well what a way to grab your attention with the opening posts of a fic. Yeah... yum. Anon, that was what I would call hot, frantic Nick and David trying to get to each other was a turn on.

Neither of them kept track of how many times they had come, of how many times they had actually had sex, or of how much time had passed. All David knew was that he must have fallen asleep at some point, wore out from all the exercise he and Nick were getting, because he woke up wearily, Nick's head resting on his chest.

"Nick," David whispered, almost a question.

Nick was awake, staring down at the bottom of the bed distantly. He glanced up at David, a worried look on his face.

"Nick?" David asked again, subconsciously running a hand through the younger man's hair.

Nick flinched and pulled away, sitting up and staring down at David. "Oh god, David. I'm so sorry!" He sobbed, and for the first time, David noticed that Nick's eyes were red and tears were starting to form in them.

"Oh," David whispered in surprise, reaching forward to wipe a tear drop from Nick's cheek.

Nick flinched away again, "I-I-I'm just so sorry... I forced myself on you, I r-"

"No!" David interrupted firmly, "You did not rape me! I enjoyed what we did ( ... )

Anon, from hot to angst in one gorgeous part. Just beautiful, I can feel Nick's anxieties but also David's as they both try to get a grasp of what went on/is going on.

"Pheromones," Sam supplied, "A chemical that mixes in your body and releases sex pheromones."

Nick stared at David for a second, and it almost terrified David that he couldn't read Nick's expression. Hearing what made them react as they did, David understood why Nick was looking like that. What had happened to them had such an emotional connotation to them, and the reason why being spelt out like that made him feel as if everything he was feeling at the moment wasn't quite... justified. There was a scientific, rational explanation for what happened, so why should he feel as if his whole world was thrown upside down ( ... )
