At Oxford, Rothschild was also one of three founders of a student newspaper called Rumpus, which was sold at newsagents for 30p. Its first edition featured a topless girl, a “page 7 fella” and instructions on how to steal a car. A picture of Osborne, dressed as a wizard, appeared on the newspaper’s astrology page.

I'm doubtful. The more I read, the more I think Nat's interest is in the Russians - Peter was alleged to have eased things for them with the EU, and not with George, who blew the gaff on them. But there's not a single newspaper article beyond 1 Nov 2008 that has anything new to say about them.

Whatshername left him and it really isn't a big loss. He could just fly to New York, or head out to some trendy London night spot, or go home to the Klosters to find some new pretty, young thing. She'll hear his name and fake an interest whilst her eyes light up with dollar signs. Nat thinks he has to be at the top, because it is lonely.
It infuriates him to be in London and to resist the temptation to find a new distraction. It is always England and this city that makes Nat feel an ache that appears and disappears; feelings that are frequently misplaced but never lost. And it wasn't like Nat held a grudge. Corfu was years ago. As much as he wants to, he isn't sure how to go about calling up the Chancellor, "Just calling to say hello. Calling to let you know I think of you from time to time. Somehow I miss you." Sometimes Nat will even let the fit of nostalgia go as far as letting him wonder if George thinks of ( ... )
