Welcome to our eighth prompt post.

As ususal, here are a few things to keep in mind:

Following the tripling of tuition fees, I'd like to see an exhausted Nick Clegg at the end of his rope interrupted in the middle of a suicide attempt by DCam, who has no Earthly idea why Clegg is so depressed. I honestly keep expecting Nick to just get up and hang himself in the middle of PMQs, I'm impressed with how he's holding up.

Definitely thirded! After all the kicking Nick's taken over the past few weeks I can't imagine how he's feeling right now. He just looks so miserable all the time these days :(

So yeah, I'd really love a h/c comfort fic like this.

Obvious warnings for a suicide attempts and suicidal thoughts and general angst.

It wasn’t like he hadn’t been thinking about it. It had been on his mind all week, all month, every hour of every day. The question going round and round in his head. At home, at work, when slept, when he ate, when David Cameron stood up during the Prime Minister’s Questions and fought off the critics that came from the other side. One simple question, with no simple answer.

Would it all be better, if I was gone?It was a question Nick didn’t want to face, but deep down, he knew he had to. After five years, if the coalition was to be broken, his name would always be remembered as the Liberal Democrat who betrayed the students and caused riots within the city of London. The newspapers didn’t help, being confronted with such headlines every morning was doing little to improve his mood and Nick knew, slowly, he was gaining attention ( ... )

[Warnings for punching, swearing, over the top crying and probably very wrong facts and out of character-ness but hey! It’s pretty fiction! Look! It’s shiney! *tempts* ...but no in all seriousness I think this is a little out of character and abruptly ending, so I'm sorry in advance...]Then, someone was wrapping their arms around his legs and lifting him up, the pull of the rope ceasing and the ability to breathe slowly coming back to him. He was still very much aware of the uncomfortable burn around his neck, but he could breathe again ( ... )
