Welcome to our eighth prompt post.

As ususal, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1) All fills for prompts of the earlier prompt posts go in the post the prompt was posted in. No re-posting or splitting up prompts and fills.
2) Self-prompt when you post unprompted fic. (This means posting what the fill is about in a first comment, like a real ( Read more... )

At some christmas shindig an akward George is mocked by a slightly tipsy Nick for failing in his attempts to chat up Peter.

Nicks boast he could charm anyone into bed- and George dares him to try with Alastair Campbell

(Would love to see a woobie Alastair- dont know why!)

I'm working on a sort-of fill - all those things happen, but it's a bit more complicated & highly angsty. Is that okay? Is there anything you really want to see there before I finish, or shall I just hide and get on with it? :)

Sorry, OP - it's what you asked for but probably not what you wanted! Please enjoy :)Peter stood at the wide, high window of their bedroom and stared out at the snow. A streetlight was staining it golden as it rained softly down onto the street, where inches of it already lay in every shade of grey and white. He could hear the party downstairs, still clinging to its last half hour or so of life, despite the fact that almost all the guests had long since gone home ( ... )

As for George, he was a little too drunk and a little too desperate. He'd had his sights set firmly on Peter, had managed to convince himself that the older man would soon surrender to his upper-class charm and complete transparency. After all, didn't they have an unspoken agreement? They definitely had an unspoken agreement ( ... )

Back in the moment, Peter hovered at the bedroom door, torn. If he went down, he knew he'd regret it bitterly; if he didn't, the damage would be unmitigated and probably forgotten by the next day.

He couldn't let that happen. Clegg had to know the crime he was inadvertedly committing.

Taking care not to make a sound, Peter crept downstairs, pausing here and there to listen for voices from the main room. There was only a low whispering; they were indeed alone now, the last of the guests having fled.

"... won't mind if we crash here," Alastair was telling Nick softly, the words barely audible through the door. "Done it before... where's the harm, eh?"

Where's the harm. Peter's knuckles turned white. He was sorely tempted to burst in and tell them both where the fucking harm could be located, but restrained himself to hear the rest of the conversation ( ... )

Nick didn't struggle as Alastair flattened his arms and got back into position, even though he was terrified. He swore he could hear Peter somewhere in the house, moving around upstairs, and it made his heart race. But then Alastair was tutting at his too-tight hole, telling him to relax as he fetched the lube and a fresh condom from under the sofa, and calling him the prettiest little thing he'd ever fucked, even with the additional weight ( ... )

Some time just past midnight, Peter was jerked awake by a noise close by. He looked around, letting his sleep-filled eyes adjust to the darkness. "Alastair, is that you?"

"Unfortunately." The other man took a few hesitant steps forward and sat down on the bed. "Do you mind if I..?"

"Not at all," Peter sighed. He let Alastair lie down next to him and take him in his arms, curling up together. "So, how did it go with Nick?"

"Um... fine. It went fine. H-he's gone now."

When Peter laid a series of tiny kisses on his partner's face, his lips came away damp and tasting of salt. He frowned. "What happened, Alastair? Why so upset?"

"I just hate it when you're angry, that's all. I feel guilty."

"As you should!" Peter ran a hand through Alastair's coarse hair and nuzzled into his chest. "Why did you do it? Is it because you want me to be angry at you? Or could you geniuinely not help yourself ( ... )

:D I don't like Nick!fic, either. It was selfish of me to fill this just as an excuse to write Mandelbell, but there haven't been many prompts lately, so... anyway, glad you like! <3

op here- it was great to come in a horrible days work/snow trauma to find this.

I love mendelbell in all forms- so with a side order of clegg it was just heaven- loved the story anon and the exquisite messed upness of all four of the protagonists in different ways (but certainly Alastair most of all. so very believable!

you can certainly set a scene- i feel like I've just watched this somewhere its so vivid! Thank you

dear op -I loved this story.

is is to cheeky to as for a follow up ( with george wanting to know what happened from nick and then causing more chaos in an already messed up mandelbell relationship and alastair getting the wrong idea and doing something with nick again) or basically anything you want in the universe!
