Sorry, OP that it sort of drifted off from the original prompt a teeny bit.David patted Nick on the shoulder as they turned to leave the press conference. He let his hand drift down Nick's shoulder, taking his time removing his hand from the younger man. He knew that, perhaps, he was being a bit obvious for such a public venue with cameras recording and snapping photographs as they left, but he took every opportunity he could get to touch Nick. He wasn't going to take this moment for granted, certainly. As his fingertips ended their journey down Nick's shoulder, into the free air, he smiled slightly to himself as he realised Nick was reaching over to pat him on the back as well. Sure, he was aware that it was probably just some sort of dominance thing, like the press had always spun it as, for Nick, but it still made David happier
