"No. It was a surprise to me," confessed Alastair. "It still is. He just... just arrived out of the blue, we didn't have to think about it. It was like, when we needed each other, we just came together."
Now Alastair did reach for Fiona's hands, and - although she tried to jerk away - he held her firmly and lovingly. "I've said I'm sorry. We can have a nice bonfire of all this stuff I had delivered. What more can you reasonably ask of me?"
With a glare in the direction of the clock, Fiona answered, "There's still a couple of hours before our daughter -" she squeezed his hands harshly "- will be home from school. First I'm going to call Peter and explain to Reinaldo, because he deserves to know." Ignoring the horror in Alastair's eyes, she went on: "He must know, so between us we can keep you and Peter apart as much as ( ... )

Cautiously, Peter tried to hug Reinaldo but the young man stood up abruptly, not looking him in the face. "I feel like an idiot," Reinaldo groaned, wiping his eyes. "Like a prize idiot. I should leave you now, Peter, but I do not think I will. Not yet."
Peter watched, helpless and afraid, as Reinaldo climbed the stairs and vanished into the spare room without so much as a backward glance.

Reinaldo is a pleasure (dancing in the kitchen, daww), and it's a shame there isn't as much Peter/Reinaldo as there is Lawdie, say.

Yes indeed, Mandelsilva is such a neglected pairing, though there have been some truly beautiful fills... here's to lots more Peter/Reinaldo fic in future!

Because the FM/AC part does say that she's determined not to have Alastair get what he wants, and that does suggest she knows what it is he wants, right? So how does she get to be pissed off he never suggested he was discontented? And while she's right that what happened between him and Peter was without her consent, that would apply the same if they'd been as vanilla as anything, and what entitles her to think kink is despicable as such? Or sexist as such, for that matter ( ... )
