Ed Mili wakes up screaming from a nightmare*. Someone in bed with him comforts him.

Any pairing except Milicest? Miligen is fine, Milison or Milixander would mmd :)

*Nightmare exploring party tensions would be good, but your generic 'I was drowning' or something is also fine, It's all about the h/c.

Douglas feels sick with himself because he loves this. He loves comforting Ed and being the one to solve his problems. More so, he adores Ed pressed against his bare chest, breath hot on his skin and his wet eyelashes staining his neck with tears - desperate for Douglas’ assurance. He swallows to try and supress the thoughts that burn like acid as he remembers Ed’s nails digging into his back. He can’t help but want to know what else he could do to get that reaction.

“You won, Ed. Your brother lost. The Labour Party voted, democratically, and the result was that they wanted you as leader. We believe in you,” Douglas explained. "I believe in you… and trust me; we’re not going to let you die ( ... )

Ed stays perfectly motionless as Douglas slowly leans toward him, lips parted slightly. A small whimper escapes Ed’s mouth when their lips touch and Douglas isn’t quite sure if he’s asleep or not because Ed seems to be reciprocating. Their lips barely brush against each other, as if both are too scared to admit to the colossal reality of the situation. Occasionally a tongue emerges from either mouth and licks the other’s bottom lip until they both touch lightly, when Ed finally loses all restraint and presses Douglas against him desperately and allows his tongue into his mouth ( ... )

I loved this, anon. <333 I've been kind of dubious about EMil / DAlexander, but this has changed my mind. We need moar of it!

Dear anon, I love you. This was perfect! I love how you mixed the drowning and the party tensions in the dream, and I really really love your EMil- pitch perfect :-) And Ed's terrifed look and the Milixander at the end made me melt... thank you so much!
