A perfect 10

Feb 06, 2011 08:47

We might have travelled in time and are back to post number 2 or this is going to be the most porny post yet. No one knows. Or no one knew. Anyway:

Here are your guidelines, as usual.

1) All fills for prompts of the earlier prompt posts go in the post the prompt was posted in. No re-posting or splitting up prompts and fills.
2) Self-prompt ( Read more... )

prompting: 10

Self Prompt: Integral anonymous March 20 2011, 23:53:26 UTC
Got in there before the freeze.

A sort of dystopian!AU, basically what would have happened if Tony Blair had gone a little bit further, moved the Party into Millbank and laid the foundations of a police state. Evil!NuLab (TB, GB, PM, AC, FM, CB) versus NaiveButGood!NextGen (EM, DM, ED, YC, AB), hopefully with pairings aplenty, if I can fit them all in.

This isn't anywhere near being finished, but I've got it planned out. There'll definately be noncon and plenty of graphic murders in future chapters.

I'm glad of that, anon. I don't want to dawdle too much over this, but yup, it'll probably end up pretty long nevertheless.

SQUEE!!! ^ You're the anon that also wrote Toryshire? OMG I loved that sooo much! I can never get enough of your work! =D

Yes! Oh, I'm so happy you liked that! I've been wondering whether I should scribble some more or not (I want to have Alastair having a go at the cheese rolling), but didn't know whether they'd be anyone left to read it.

Don't lose faith, anon! I'm brand new to this fandom, but I'm a pretty thorough sort of person. I've spent the last 2 months actually going through each meme post individually and re-living the experience everyone here has had since the beginning of the fandom ^_^ I fell in love with NuLab and MandelBell back when almost every post was NuLab and my love for it has gone far and beyond my original thing for Clameron. I read around the communities that some people have lost interest in the fandom and leave but I think that equally new people always come around. The meme is notably difficult to navigate if you don't have a lot of time on your hands, but the standard of writing in this fandom is beyond any I've experienced elsewhere and it's all thanks to anons like you! Omg, sorry about the tl;dr but all I mean to say is please keep writing. I am thrilled at the prospect of more Integral and more Toryshire and everything else you choose to write. Will be cheering you on from this corner!

Oh, my dear sweet anon, I'm rather in love with you already! I was here reading from the start, but lurked and didn't have the confidence to post my writing for months. In particular, I really wanted to tell this one Mandelbell author how much I adored their writing and if I'm correct that's the anon below. But I was too paranoid to say anything, even anon in case they didn't like me. God. Now I sound like a stalker. Sorry.

I went from Clameron to Milicest to Mandelborne and now NuLab.

But yes, glad to have you on board the ship too (HMSNuLabOT4?) *salutes*, I'll definately have more Integral coming up, and maybe more Toryshire, and I'm already getting itchings to write a Steampunk!AU sequel. And then there are so many delightful writers here too *squishes fandom excitedly and explodes*.

*blushes* The pleasure is all mine for getting to read all these treasures really. Honestly I'm not really the type to leave feedback or comments either because my capacity to read is a little terrifying and commenting on everything I like would take up a lot of reading time. Ever since I've been following the meme on a daily basis it's been a lot easier to start commenting though, and I know how much it helps to give encouragement to all the writer anons out there ( ... )

(: Yes! Just a little 'Read this and liked it' is great, as it shows that people are reading, we appreciate it so much.

I felt no shame... is that bad? Then again, the first fic I posted here was Mandelan, so there we are. And yes, I agree that those have all helped - a lot of these wonderful verses have originated as NuLab and then spread out.

A non-NuLab pairing that I like is Camerborne. It's pretty isolated, as the rest of my ships are basically TBGB, Mandelbell, Blairbell, Brownballs, Mandelbrown, Mandelan, etc etc. I strongly dislike Osborne, so it's a bit weird.

And yes, you have! Very happy now.

Ah I had to come back and say that I know what you mean about odd pairings but in reverse. I really really like George Osborne as a character, but for some reason I can't read him in fics. It's odd because I ship Camerborne and Mandelborne in principle, but no matter how many times I try to read it squicks me out slightly for no good reason. I seem to be able to read Cleggborne though, go figure. IDK brain, why so weird?

You know what a grinning idiot looks like? Okay, well, picture an incoherent bunk-ridden idiot whose grin is tainted somewhat by terror, and that's me. Your slutty!abused!Peter is beyond excellence and David. David, David, David. The angst. <3

*cheers on evil decandent NuLab* I love how they're just so causal about everything; Tony doesn't even blink when Peter comes in, and the scene in the van - with the gun - so many kinks hit already. Unf. Say there'll be more uniform details in parts to come, oh magnificent aa? *licks lips*

The murder flashback is also disturbing and good. And Parris. And everything, god, it's brilliant, but I'm not going to sit here and list off all the stuff I like. But GORDON. :<

Next comment will be better, I swear *casts aside whip to re-read and attempt to get own squee under control*

I wasn't sure about DMil so I'm glad you like him... I like him more than the others, but I've never written much of him before. I've also just realised that I copied the car scene almost word for word from the abusive!Mandelbell at the end of the post 9.

I'm not meshing naturally with this yet *sighs* I think it's because I'm still not into NextGen. Plus motivation is still running low ): it probably isn't helping that every damn prompt I've made in this post has gone unfilled but that's just me being obnoxious/selfish/petty. I'll try to get more written soon enough though.

You mean the one I wrote for you? fuck anonymity On the contrary, this one had resilient!Peter. :) I'll be taking it back to my bunk later, rest assured.

Also forgot to mention that Peter quoting the lyrics is AMAZING. Fucking amazing.

*nods* NextGen is a whole other world. But you might get more readers for them! Good luck and don't feel rushed. :3

Yeah. Yeah, that one *goes to reread*. It's wonderful, it really is, and I absolutely love you for writing it, in case I haven't said that enough.

It really is, and I'm sure it has many wonders waiting for me to find. I'm struggling to reconcile my NuLab!Balls with NextGen!Balls though. I know I should make him a softie at heart, but I can't help but see him as another cronie - like Charlie but a little nerdier.

Omg, 'like Charlie but a little nerdier' is exactly what EdB is. :P

Now I have images of Charlie having followed EdB's path and gettng a constituency then becoming shadow chancellor. Ogod. He'd definately give Osborne a run for his money if it came to brute force.

Possibly, and maybe this is a bit incestuous and namefaggy, but fuck it, you are one of my favorite authoranons and I want you to be happy. And it really does suck when you fill a ton but no one fills for you. Point me in the direction of some of your neglected prompts and maybe I can hook you up? No Osborne, LibDems or obscure foreign politicians and I fear to pollute the sparkling waters of the historical!lolitics pool with my ill-informed scribblings, but I can probably manage anything else.
