13 YEARS  POSTS!
What an achievement, my honourable friends! Hopefully we'll still go strong after this ;)

The usual things:

1) All fills for prompts of the earlier prompt posts go in the post the prompt was posted in. No re-posting or splitting up prompts and fills.
2) Self-prompt when you post unprompted fic. (This means posting what ( Read more... )

Lawdie, warning for violence anonymous July 16 2011, 20:43:16 UTC
Lib-dem supporter or backbancher thinks that coalition demaged the party irreparablenessly, and Lawsgate was the point from everyting went wrong. He doesn`t blame David - David was party`s hope and would never break rules for himself. So James is the one to blame - and he should pay dearly.

David barely looked up from his paperwork at the sound of the door opening and closing in the hallway. There was not a cry of greeting; it was a habit they had forced themselves to avoid in order to maintain their longrunning facade. It would be odd to fall into it now.

A glance at his watch showed David that James was late, which meant he was either drunk or exhausted from a late night in the office. Either way, he would be dragging himself up the stairs to shower and sleep in short order, for David to join when he would. It made David smile, just a little, just to himself, that they knew each other so well. It was not surprising, not unexpected, after such a long time, but it felt so normal to, to have routine, just like anyone else, when he could not help but feel far removed from society's average ( ... )

This is realy moving, and sad, and very impressive. Very well written - too, off course. David is so in character, and it`s a good detail that he blames himself for his habbits - thinking that he would help James if only he was "normal".
Can`t wait for more!

"A&E on a Friday night. Excellent," James drawled, eyes following a staggering youth with a head injury, beer bottle still in his hand. A giggling, scantily clad girl followed him ( ... )

This is lovely but heartbreaking at the same time. Their limited, somewhat
dysfunctional relationship is so sad, with them always feeling unable to display the full affection they would like to.
This is perfectly written.

But what did the hospital say about James? Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaames!
O god, I need to know if he's okay, right now.

Do I even need to tell you that I love this fic and am hanging onto my screen and keyboard pressing F5 for more?

"I don't want detail, but I would appreciate an estimation of wellbeing on a scale of severity from sniffles to potentially fatal."

And this is why Paddy wins the entire universe &hearts'

Also David needs therapy. And a hug.

I love Paddy, saviour of David in his time of need. <3

I also adore how you've written David - so confused and conflicted.
