Yep. There's definitely a server-side aspect to whether or not an account is using the beta. Yesterday on campus, with my old browser that can't support the beta, I told it to "switch to the old mail indefinitely." This morning, using Firefox from home, Yahoo logged me into the old pre-beta. Xena and Buttercup both ate some live blackworms today. Xena will now eat them "falling from the sky" (squirted into the tank with an eyedropper). Buttercup had to be caught in a net and isolated there with some worms before she would get a clue. Hooray. I went to mail.yahoo.com, got forwarded the to the "virtual(?) server" where my account is hosted, and was greeted with the Mail Beta invitation splash screen. The Yahoo mail beta still isn't working for me. I also tried going into my.yahoo.com (which works, I can see my mailbox preview there) and going into my account options (which works), and then going into mail options to see if there was a way I could get the Firefox browser to change back to the old pre-beta mail. We are at 48 hours now, and I just tried to access the mail beta again. Instead of a "server not found" error, I'm now getting a "server is taking too long to respond, connection timed out" error. Progress??

Yahoo e-mail has been my "primary" personal e-mail since 2000, and I've been a user even longer than that. I never have to worry about changing my e-mail address when we change ISPs.
