I think i'm going to go back and make every entry I've made private.
This just kind of creeps me out.

You can ask to opt out of the search engine:

Although, technically, you shouldn't have to ask since they aren't searching LJ correctly. LJ offers an "opt out of search" engines option somewhere in your account settings. They do warn, however, that not all search engines will abide by that... like LJFind.

Also, if you look at the requests to opt out at the link I gave, you'll notice some folks are finding their friends-locked posts coming up in search.

Yes, that is creepy. I set my journal to not appear on search engines for a reason. Glad to know that now I have to do it for individual websites.

That's kind of scary. I made mine private after I got an email from (someone) telling me that I needed to be careful what I posted in my personal blog since now it was indirectly linked to the organization's community blog. I tried to just manually go in and do it, but it was easier when I became a paid member. With the click of a button, every post, ever made went "friends only."

But here's something interesting. I just Googled my LJ and found all most posts anyways... odd.
