Sunday

Three days of blankness. Three days of suffering without seeing each other. The holes in their hearts kept on enlarging. In their dreams and sleep, all that ever came of them were nightmares. Nightmares of which Ryo had deserted Ueda, and of which that their pain and regrets would always come back and haunt them in their dreams.

“Ne, Ne Ryo!” A ten years old Ueda grabbed onto Ryo’s sleeve and asked. “Those bracelets are so pretty! And they’re a pair too!” Ryo glanced over to his best friend and says, “They’re for bonding people together. Each of the pair of bracelet has a puzzle to the other pair.” Ryo took Ueda’s hand and walked in front of the bracelets. “See?” Ryo lifted up the bracelets fro Ueda to see, and pointed at a certain part. “See these two pieces of metal?” Ueda nodded while his eyes were still locked to the bracelets. Ryo matched the two bracelets together, and formed a shape.

“See? After you match the two together, you can form a shape. In this case, it forms a snowflake.” Ryo smiled and glanced at his best friend, who was still fascinated at the bracelets. Ueda took both bracelets in his hands and examined them, matching each both bracelets in his hands. While Ueda was still locking all his attention at the bracelets, Ryo walked over to the storeowner and handed him some money.

“Okay, lets go.” Ryo took Ueda’s hand and started walking out. When Ueda wanted to put the bracelets back with a face of reluctant, Ryo took the bracelets and helped Ueda put on one of the pair. “Huh?” Ueda sounded out a question, but didn’t protest when Ryo helped him put on the bracelet. “I just bought the bracelets, so I’m not stealing, kay?” it took a few seconds for Ueda to sink in the facts, but he smiled afterwards. Ryo had already finishing put on his share of bond, and said “These bracelets are for bonding, like I said before. They’re for people who have a bond of friendship or love, meaning for them to be together forever.” Ryo explained to Ueda. Ueda smiled and hugged Ryo happily. “We’ll be together forever!” Ryo’s eyes were wide for a second, but he wrapped his arms on Ueda’s waist and smiled back. “Yea..We will be.”

Both Ryo and Ueda woke up with tears on their faces. Remembering that scene enlarged their holes bigger and bigger, leaving more scars mentally. AS tears slip away from their soulless eyes, they both looked at the bracelet locked on their wrists.

Ueda kissed gently on his bracelet, still wondering how he got the bracelet back. He didn’t care anymore sat that moment. All he could think of was Ryo.

“We’ll be together forever!”

“Yea…We will be.”

Ueda’s eyes went shut again. He laughed at himself mentally, and jeered at how stupid and naïve he was.

Ryo thought back at his promise.

“Yea..We will be.”

HE mentally cursed at himself for breaking that promise. He broke that promise himself. Not only did he distance himself from the other boy, he even hurt the boy he loved in front of everyone, using harsh words to stab knifes at his heart.

“How did this happen? How could I let this happen.” Ryo shut his eyes tight and asked himself. Tears went flowing on his cheeks as he rested on arm on his forehead.

Monday

Both Ryo and Ueda managed to get to work with the amount of peaceful sleep they had gotten (so little which was none at all).

Ueda walked in the KAT-TUN resting, and received greetings from his band mates, and nodded his head in return.

Five minutes later, Ueda was all alone in the room. All of his band mates had been called for interviews and photo shoots, which Ueda had finished long ago.

When Ueda decided to stand up from his chair and get a glass of water, Maru showed up. Maru greeted Ueda a “Good morning” and walked over to Ueda. Ueda nodded in return and gulped the last drop of his water down his throat. Both of them sat on the couch in the room, and no one talked (Not that Maru expected Ueda to talk anyways).  Finally, Maru spoke. “Did you remember anything after you got drunk?” Maru questioned carefully, hiding his tone of guiltiness. Ueda simply shook his head. “Okay…” Maru’s answer was filled with relief, and Ueda, as observant as he is, noticed that relief in his tone. Ueda stared at Maru, finding a vague bruise around Maru’s left eye. Ueda lifted his hand and caressed Maru’s bruise, showing a face of worry. “Oh…that…that was nothing.” Maru immediately answered Ueda’s face of concern. “I kinda trip on the table when I was a bit drunk. I hoped that no one saw…” Maru nervously laughed at himself.

Ueda seemed to believe Maru’s story, and didn’t ask anything more. Ueda slide his hand back down, but Maru grabbed his hand before it can rest on Ueda’s lap. “Tat-chan, Is this a new bracelet?” Maru observed carefully at Ueda’s bracelet, missing the tear that fell from Ueda’s eye. “This is a bonding bracelet! It’s a matching one too! Where’d you get this, Tat-chan?” Maru worded out his question without turning his eyes elsewhere. Moments after Maru asked his question, Maru finally remembered that Ueda doesn’t talk. When Maru lifted his head back up and looked at Ueda, He found tears flowing all over his friend.

Tat-chan…what’s wrong? Don’t cry.” Maru quickly wiped away Ueda’s continuous tears with his hand, and pulled Ueda in his arms. Maru stroked Ueda’s silky hair gently, while pulling Ueda closer to his body. “There there…” Maru whispered in Ueda’s ears. Ueda simply clutched his hands on Maru’s shirt, trying (and failing) to stop his crying.

************************************

Ryo walked in soullessly to his resting room, and sat down. He stilled remembered the dream he had that morning. That painful memory gushed up his brain, sending Ryo to shut his eyes and tighten his fists.

When Ryo noticed all his band mates were off to interviews that he had already finished the pass week, Ryo stood up and walked out the room. Ryo walked out to the big window, wanted the wind to clear up his head. After a good 5 minutes, Ryo decided to walk back to his resting room. When he got near his destination, Ryo could faintly hear someone crying. When Ryo was about to walk away, the familiar sobs stopped him. He then realized that the sobs belonged to Ueda.

Ryo ran as fast as he could to KAT-TUN’s resting room. When Ryo had absorbed the scene in the room, anger and rage rushed up to his brain. Maru was embracing a crying Ueda in his arms. Maru was whispering something in Ueda’s ears up close, really close. Ryo could see Maru’s hands were all over Ueda’s delicate body. IT was then when Ryo remembered what happened at the party last week. Ryo clutched his fists together, threatening to bleed himself.

Ryo smashed the door wide open and ran straight up to Ueda and Maru. Ryo separated the two in an instant, and grabbed Maru in the collar. “GET OFF HIM!” Ryo shouted fiercely AT Maru, and punched him in the stomach, sending Maru to fall on the ground. Ryo then kicked Maru’s back, causing him to groan out loud in pain. When Ryo was about to kick Maru again, Ueda grabbed Ryo’s leg and stared at him with his teary eyes.

Ueda’s eyes were telling Ryo to stop. Ryo was frozen to the ground. “Stop?” Ryo mentally asked himself. IT was then Ueda let go of His arms around Ryo’s leg, and slowly climbed to Maru. Ueda helped Maru up, and caressed his cheeks. Ueda’s facial expression was asking Maru, “Are you hurt badly? Are you okay?” Ryo’s jealously and angered rose up again, and ran out the room when Maru smiled at Ueda and said, “I’m okay”.

Both Ryo and Ueda were hurt badly. The fight that just happened didn’t help their pain at all, it just got worse. The giant emptiness in their hearts just kept on enlarging, destroying both UEda and Ryo mantally and physically. Bothof their hols won't stop enlarging until hey're filled. Both Ueda and Ryo's emptiness are both yearning for each other. Until the two are together, their emptiness will never shrink, and tears will continue to shed.

To be continue~
