look at the DMCA information at the bottom of IMVU's pages. I spoke with Clare yesterday. Getting set up to e-mail DMCA notices takes less than an hour. If you know how to make a .pdf file from Photoshop, you can send DMCA notices. What I did was write out my signature card on paper (you have to send it in first, and only once) and scan it, save it as a .pdf. Then I copied and pasted the DMCA template into a word document, saved that, and filled it out for a guy who stole my eye textures. Send each DMCA takedown notice to dmca@imvu.com and bam, it gets taken care of. Really quickly. I suggest you go ahead and get set up NOW, because as Pros we're both likely to get screwed pretty bad at some point in the future. Being set up to get that shit ripped down fast is helpful.
I'm disgusted by LillyButterfly. I had no idea. Makes me wonder if the beautiful eyes I have by her were also total ripoffs. What a shame...
If you must use track-at-once, make sure you're writing it all in one session. PC-based CD players may be able to see tracks in later sessions, but the CD player in your stereo system almost certainly can't.
You can tell by my username who this is I am sure...lol. Damn I am glad I came here and saw what you had about Lillybutterfly, I had no idea about her. I will go through my WL and remove anything by her. I always thought it was impossible to extract textures. o.o
Originally the older previwers were left open for use. One of the oldest, could indeed extract both Texture and Opacity Maps. Until a few days AFTER I found Lilly using my material - that previewer was working. It finally was shut down as issue after issue in theft kept appearing.
Lilly from the start of her account as a De, was stealing from me. I never looked into her stuff because, I had no interest. So when I finally spotted my belts, because she got comfy thinking I never would say anything - I jumped at her.
An' then I thought o' what my old mammy told me about God; an' I thought I'd got into trouble, sure enough, an' I wanted to find God, an' I heerd some one tell a story about a man that met God on a threshin'-floor, an' I thought, well an' good, I'll have a threshin'-floor, too.
It is the reason she so suddenly went missing, and stopped submitting. Because I caught her theft and warned her I could sue her. Which, I very easily can as that is direct theft of copyrighted materials that she made profit off of.
