Ha ha ha ha. Now I know what's in your hand. Does it also creep you out that those are all letters in Valenzetti?? Core numerical values, anyone?

I was going to admonish "Emily and Rachel, don't use this to cheat!" but I knew it was useless.

And then I played VINTAGE to pass your score, so :P.

And you are so much more LOST-obsessed than I am. I didn't think it was possible, but there it is.

Ha - yes, that would be a decorative metal cup holder of Turkish origin. Or so Wikipedia tells me.

When it comes to online Scrabble, I am definitely a proponent of "if it could be a word orthographically, and will get you more points, try it!"

Thanks for the phone message! Gots to call you. I'm wrestling with doctor's appointments today. :/ You'll be glad to know I'm reading Marx - we should gab. :)

What are you reading specifically?
If it's Capital, I'd suggest looking over Althusser's "How to read capital" (its pretty short).

'Tis Capital (v.1). Haven't located Althusser, I'm mainly just trying to power through. 400 pages in two days, eek. Though I did read an excerpt from Althusser last night in a book by Fredric Jameson. I'll just have to skim again to see if it all meshes.

I still don't know how you got 78 points for "follies". That's creepy. Cheater.

I had "violin" in my hand yesterday- maybe there was some meddling in "randomness".
