WHAT: Ludwig asked for the ring back… the only solution is to drown the sorrow in sweets.

This wasn’t how it was supposed to happen. Not even close to the fairytale romance Feliciano had imagined after Nonno’s declaration that they’d be married. Not a single thought had been spared for Ludwig’s thoughts on it either but, could you blame the man for getting excited?
He was sure Ludwig would warm up to it, accept it and eventually declare his love in the open and propose. He hadn’t thought Ludwig would propose in a situation - gun fire, choking smoke and ChristhadKikubeenshot?! - so drastic and so… not romantic. He had, Feliciano had accepted with tears of happiness and he thought it was done with. Until Ludwig asked for the ring back.
The electric mixer was on the fritz and Feliciano frowned as he whisked the sugar and butter furiously. Dollops landed all over the counter and his apron but the mess would be cleaned later. So long as it didn’t touch the already made sweets, he reasoned, it was fine. Speaking of… He turned and checked the clock on the wall, noting he had just a bit longer for the Amaretti. The Krumiri were already cooling on the counter, Savoiardi by the plateful littered the small breakfast bar. He fully planned on making Tiramisù after he was done with the double chocolate biscotti he was making right now.
Work was a big no-no. He’d tried going in yesterday only to run back out, lock himself in his room and paint - he had no plans on going today either. And if Ludwig just slipped right out and went to work without him, well then let him because he was going to stay right here and cook all day long.
