WHAT: BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! Yao and Mei's, more precisely.
How she had managed to keep it a secret from Mei, was kind of a mystery. The girl was good at finding things out. Especially from Kim. But it also worked the other way around. Kim was so glad Mei's mom had also kept the secret surprise birthday party from her daughter, and also helped with a dinner and a couple of cakes while her daughter was at work.
Yeah.. She'd get a surprise when she came home. Hopefully Zhi managed to drag Yao with him over soon too. She looked at the two gifts in front of her. One for Mei and one for Yao. She REALLY hoped they'd like them. At least she'd gotten Mei something she had drooled over for weeks.
Zhi had also been sort of a good help, with keeping it all a secret, and just helping out when she asked him. Kim couldn't understand why he and Mei hadn't hooked up yet. They were SO right for each other, and so cute! She had a couple of times been tempted to tell Mei, but she caught herself in time luckily, so Zhi's secret was still safe with her.
Maybe he'd tell Mei today? That would've been so adorable.... She let out a little sigh, waiting for the others to come. It had been a while since she'd been to Mei's house, but she liked coming here. So she had no real reason to stay away.
The place wasn't very decorated, but at least there was food, cake, and for Mei's sake, bubble tea. And tea, of course. There was always tea in this house.
