Quand le brouillard se dissipe...

First of all, I just wanted to let you know that my bro is feeling better. He came home from the ER yesterday and even if he's extremely tired, he's finally home and trying to get some rest before going in holidays with us at the end of the week. Thank you for all your nice comments and good thougths. :)

On another note, I came back from my interview this morning. It went well. You know, this society, Infortel, hires young engineers (any scientific field) and train them during 2 months in the computer field before making them work on projects.
The man that received me told me that they had 12 places for their next september training, that they had found 7 people already and that they were still looking for the last 5. He added that in his opinion, I had good chances to be selected (yes! :-P) and that they would contact me tomorrow to give me their decision. If it were a positive answer, I would be convocated again to meet the director that would make me an offer.

Arriving home, I noticed I had a message on my cell, the guy from Infotel wanted me to call him back to 'clear' one point in my application. I callled him right away and he informed me that he had made a little mistake about the salary : he had told me the pay would be around 30k€ a year (which is very correct for a young engineer in Paris) but since I'm not an engineer in computer science, the starting pay would be 'only' 25,2k€ a year (2100€ a month on which you can take off something like 10% or 12% of taxes), which is not bad since they train us and that it can raise very quickly if I work well (...and to be honest it will always be better that the 350€ a month that the government allows me!)
So he wanted to make sure I was still okay with this pay and since I told him I was... he informed me that they would convocate me for the final interview! :D So unless the director hates me, he should offer me a job. :)

Going in holidays at the end of the week knowing I'll have a contract to sign when I come back is absolutely perfect but you know, till nothing is signed, nothing is sure... I've been through too many bad moments to get too excited too quickly, ...even if it rather seems to be on the right track! :)

I'm drained... I woke up at 4:30am to catch my train this morning and I slept less than 4 hours (at least I was still up at 0:30 and woke up at 2:30).
I can't stop yawning but I don't think I'll be able to go to bed early tonight... I need to prepare my check list for saturday... holidays, I'm coming!! :-P

Time to catch up on my flist. :) Bye!
