The Darker Sides of Kpop

I spent last weekend in LA attending Kcon and it was such an amazing experience. But it also left me thinking about some of the darker sides of k-pop (Korean pop) and what exactly goes into making such popular music

Despite my long departure from the world of kpop, I agree with you in that they don't seem to have any rights. I suppose in a sense, it's because they need to fit a certain aesthetic which requires them to also be treated differently and not like a living, breathing human being. They are a product, part of a production line meant to sell, sell, sell, no matter what improvements or marketing strategies it takes. It sucks ass, but I agree that it should change. Someone could get seriously hurt in the long run (not that the kpop scene hasn't seen it's share of health scares).
