Yeah - I really really love it! It's been crazy hard convincing my brain to hear a new set of sounds and recognize a new set of characters, but it's been really neat. And it will be great to have as a reporting skill.
um, excuse me. but misquote. medill F: "i sure hope it doesn't rain down home because then papa won't be able to get the crops out" was the correct phrasing. ;) thanks for making me feel like a hick one more time. xoxo.
i NEVER say "pa" or "pop" because I'm a) not that hick and b) against the word "pop" unless used simply as an onomatopoeia. so open your ears, i've never gotten a Medill F, yet. and misquoting myself isn't going to get me the first one. xoxo.
You need to get home so that we can both escape into our own 'Lincoln.' Not much sure how much I can take of this place without you!!! I miss you and yeah. Good luck with your finals tomorrow and next week. We will talk before you come home. And in the end, it will all work out. Things and people, at least those that matter the most, will return to normal or some version of the comfortable state that was left last fall. Trust me, if they don't, well then they are just not worth the worry or effort to make things right again. Hope this helps. Can't wait to see you! :)

There was no "papa" that you speak of. It was most certainly "pa", possibly "pop". I distinctly remember one syllable.
Either way, I distinctly remember thinking "Man, these people are hicktastic."
Ha!
