Lovely! I sighed in deep satisfaction when Draco called on Harry to help him sleep and Harry did just that in such a tender way. And I enjoyed watching Draco as he began to look at those around him differently. It was as if the small part of his mind that knew who his new book subject would be was a strong enough influence to let the rest of his mind focus on the world around him in a way that wasn't seeking material for his next novel
( ... )
I think Draco is free to treasure other people more now because he's not looking for their faults in the way a novelist would have to if he was going to make them into characters. (Can't have perfect characters without faults, now).
With professional writers, I think a lot of it does have to do with money. The publishers and the fans are willing to pay for more of the same, so they get more of the same. But fanficcers, hopefully, have a little more room to change it up.

This was really cute. I'm glad that Draco is finally able to face himself and write about himself. :)
