The same for me. Of course, if Draco ever finds out the truth, he still might think Harry was honestly suicidal just because of the pressure he'd have to live with.
This is a chilling chapter; Harry and Draco seem to be standing on the edge and it seems unclear which way they're going to fall. I loved Draco and his determindness in this chapter. The way he's still fighting. Harry was brilliant too!! Brilliantly stubborn!
Well, Harry knows where he's going: away from St. Mungo's as soon as possible. He honestly doesn't care what Draco does. And at the moment, he has one advantage. He's set a time limit, while Draco thinks he has unlimited time.
He's afraid of being dependent. If he let himself hope, then he believes the hope would fail. Either Draco would be unable to figure out the curse after all, or he would step back and let Harry fall into the abyss because he's Malfoy. He's spent so long convincing himself to stand on his own that letting trust and hope back into his life would undo a lot of work he needs to keep going.
(Not to mention that he doesn't think Draco can help).
