Yeah! There is improvement on the Harry/Draco front! But poor, poor, Draco. The only thing he didn't lose is Harry's support. This is so captivating. I can't wait to see what Harry and Hermione will do, and what traps are lurking ahead.
BRAVO! This was one of my favourite chapters so far. I love that Harry was able to logic out the reason behind Draco's silence. I feared he would get too enraged to think straight...but then, I realized, this is Harry on the potion...with a mind that's clearer and calmer then the pre-potion Harry. I do want him off the potion ~ I want Draco to have him as he desires ~ but I'm glad for the potion in this instance.
AND...I'm also glad that Draco gave up and gave in and just told Harry what he wants from him. *sighs*
Yes. A fabulous chapter. A fabulous chapter, indeed.
Harry really wanted to know the reason. And as you point out, Harry is on the potion, and that prevented him from getting too angry- after a moment or two- to react badly.
Harry is not yet sure whether he wants Draco to have that or not. He probably will make a few efforts to convince Draco that he really wants Harry exactly the way he is now, instead of off the potion.
Draco probably wouldn't have given in if not for those pain potions. :)
This story is so interesting! You really do psychological depths so well - the traumas of the different characters are beautifully described and suit their personalities so well.
Sorry I'm not commenting more on your writing - I always read your stories just before going to bed as a treat, but I'm so tired by then (not from your fics, mind you!) that I'm afraid my comments would only be incoherent.
I've very much appreciated the way you described the creative process that leads you to write - it's quite similar to mine, though I see pictures in my head.
Don't worry about it. I usually assume people are still reading along, unless they drop a comment specifically to say that they're not following a specific story, but I know it's not always possible for people to comment.
I'm glad to meet someone for whom it's similar. Sometimes I worry that I sound completely crazy. :)
LOL - you're not serious about worrying to sound completely crazy :-)) I guess most of really creative people do have those flows of inspiration practically overwhelming them.
(I don't write, but I draw quite a lot and the images just assault my mind by dozens; I couldn't even draw everything that comes to me; I do draw very quickly too and usually post a pic every day, but I'm still amazed by your incomparable proficiency! KUDOS to you skills and to the amount of ideas you are able to realise!)
Oh I love this chapter, its wonderful. You brought out so much and still so much is hidden.
Draco's blow up at Harry was done so well, I also enjoyed how you have Harry picking up on the fact that Draco can't tell him what Daphne did (to an extent).

Draco has lost a lot, but Harry's support may give him the strength to build it back up.

Yes, Harry doesn't know Daphne's identity yet, but he does know the reasons now.
