Ah! The showdown! *is excited* I'm on the edge of my seat, and pretty sure I'll remain here until you post the next chapter. But, no pressure, of course...
I do hope Draco and Harry now see the folly of their ways. More over I hope they both get out of this intact enough to enjoy each other...the phrase so smart they are stupid keeps running through my mind.
Draco certainly does. And Harry is determined to do whatever he needs to to keep Draco safe and happy. That certainly should include getting off the potion. Now let's hope that Harry listens to Draco about what Draco wants instead of just assuming he knows.
She honestly does underestimate Harry, because, hey, he's never displayed any large magical talent in the last few years, and she's got a spy network that would have let her know.
How do you manage to create such interesting smart insane characters? Daphne’s so… detached… I want Harry to fight her not only to save Draco, but to see Daphne’s reactions during and after the fight. Besides, she’s unpredictable when faced with new (and for her, strange) situations and I doubt she’s ever confronted someone like Harry. There’s no way to know what she’ll do.
Thank god Hermione’s there and remembered Harry’s wound. Her rationality is one of the reasons Harry’s still alive. They make a great team, her thinking and caution balancing Harry’s brute force and ‘charge into’ approach.
I can’t tell how much I like this Harry. All those emotions… he’s like a storm. Daphne and Draco (when he deals with the ‘real’ Harry for the first time) won’t know what hit them. I loved how your writing transmits Harry’s feelings: rush, rage, determination, the joy he feels fighting with everything he has.
But Harry had never confronted that desire in himself because he’d been too young and callow, and when it called attention to itself,
( ... )
Daphne and Harry will definitely fight, since Daphne wants to kill him in front of Draco if she can. Of course, she has no objections to weakening him first...
I'm sure Hermione would say that it's not so much working as a team as her doing most of the work! :)
I'm glad you like this Harry! He is quite a change from the Harry that began "A Potion Named Desire," and the change could have caused some problems. But his emotions will calm down a bit once he gets used to having them again, which will still be after the fight with Daphne.
In addition to what you've said, hurting Ginny made Harry feel pretty much like Tom Riddle, who had done the same thing.

Now that you mention it, he is, but the change was done so smoothly and so well that it felt like a natural process. He didn't change from one chapter to another, making us feel you forgot your initial characterization :)
