The Rorschach Test

Mar 15, 2009 14:47

In honor of seeing Watchmen on the big screen, I took a look at the original Rorschach cards. Now, I don't think you can determine anything really useful by the test but I find it interessting to look for pictures in random designs. People look at clouds, don't they?

SO! The following were my answers:

Plate 1: Two angels/fairies clinging to an ornamental peak on top
of a tower.

Plate 2: Two people in long hooded robes facing each other. Their
hands are together, one leg is back and covered by the robe, the
other is forward and almost pressed together. They are happy to be
together or they wouldn't be in that pose.

Plate 3: Two waiters bent over a table, facing each other. There is
a bow tie between them and red laterns hanging from the ceiling.
Performing a musical number, maybe? They might also have boners.

Plate 4: A bat is the first reaction but when I look closer I see a
dragon hanging upside down. I can see eyes and horn things on the
sides of his snout.

Plate 5: It's a moth.

Plate 6: The underside of a skinned animal rug. Which animal? I
don't know. I see a snout and whiskers though. Some kind of long
necked wildcat with no tail?

Plate 7: Two rabbits with big foreheads sitting rump to rump and
turning their heads back to look at each other. Their front legs
and paws are extended in front.

Plate 8: Two lizards climbing up a human skeleton with a few
internal organs still attached.

Plate 9: Two moose facing each at the top of a tree. The flames
below are slowing eatting their way up to get them.

Plate 10: Sea creatures! Blue lobster types with a single green
claw each, two red sea...uh catarpillars holding their blue "hands
together while they go after the grey creatures at the top who have
eyestocks. I can also see some green worms, and a pair of yellow
dwarf sea horses behind the catarpillars.

This site has mension of the "common" things people see as well as the sexual stuff. Other than those waiters, I didn't see anything sexual, even with my dirty mind.
