I'm not sure if I'm on anyone's flists anymore since I rarely update here, but I suppose it can't hurt to try. Posted in my journal and also here in one of the few fandom comms I'm still in just in case

Already have my registration, but I've posted a link to this post in my journal, in case any of my flist who are planning on coming haven't bought theirs yet. Good luck!
Tried emailing, but gmail did not take that address.
If you paid by credit card, you might be able to contact your company and get the charge removed. Especially since you tried to cancel the order well in advance.
The website had the refund policy posted well in advance of her booking. If you bought a ticket to the theatre or a concert would you expect a refund? I certainly wouldn't and would be very surprised if I were able to get one. It is pretty standard for fan run conventions to not offer refunds because if they did the events would simply not be able to be run.
I didn't bitch about the policy even though I think it's ridiculous, and it's unnecessary for you to comment here in defense of it at someone who was just offering advice.
Fact is that I'm not in London and unfortunately likely won't find someone to transfer it over to since I'm sure everyone I know there already has their tickets, but that's my problem and not yours. Besides, I get it. Why get paid once for it when you can get paid twice? It's just business for you not to refund me. No hard feelings or whatever.
But there's really no need for you to comment at people who are trying to help to try and discourage them from doing so.
Ok, I am sorry, but if you had tried to reverse the credit card charge it would have caused a big complicated legal issue for us to have to deal with. And actually, I have been contacting people who have said they might come if they' be interested in your membership, because I really don't want to have you in this position, however I have had no luck yet. I should not have replied in public. It's no excuse, but I was on really strong painkillers when I wrote that which shorted out a bit of my impulse control. However, I should have emailed you privately if I was worried about. I really, really am sorry.
